So I was watching an episode of James May’s Toy Stories that he shot for the BBC a while ago. I like James. He is funny, intelligent and adds a nice little “break” from Clarkson and the Hamster on Top Gear.
While I was watching the “Replica Spitfire / AirFix” episode I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. It was so quick I couldn’t be sure so I went in search of the footage.
I was very sure a South African artisan had been involved in the construction – it would also seem that the BBC was not aware of Afrikaans slang culture.
And I was right on both counts.
